Arlington: Council, school board meet
The Arlington City Council and the school board plan to meet tonight to discuss the Respect program, the new Performing Arts Center, emergency preparedness and the Arlington School District’s new civility policy.
The City Council and the school board plan to dine together at 6 p.m. and meet at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 110 E. Third St.
Camano Island: Halloween party set
The Mabana Fire Station plans a haunted house and Halloween party for children from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The station is at 916 W. Fifth St.
The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Marysville: Art sought for library
The Marysville Library is accepting proposals for artwork for the library building or grounds.
The art will be funded by a $10,000 donation from the Gellerson family.
The Marysville Library Board is also looking for volunteers with a background in the visual arts or architecture to serve on the selection committee.
The Marysville Library is at 6120 Grove St. The deadline for submission is Dec. 15.
