ARLINGTON — Police were investigating after an apparent attempted robbery Thursday night in Arlington ended in a man being shot.
Around 9 p.m., Arlington police responded to an “exchange of gunfire” in the 1100 block of N. West Avenue, in the Eagle Trail area, police said.
A 24-year-old man was shot during the altercation. An “unknown suspect,” described as a disheveled middle-aged man, had left the scene, according to the Arlington Police Department.
The wounded man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with non-life threatening injuries.
Police asked residents to remain in their homes if there is police activity and call 911 if they have information related to this investigation.
