Supporters of President Bush will gather at Alfy’s restaurant in Everett 6-7:30 p.m. Sunday to discuss and plan activities for the final days of the campaign.

Patriots Supporting America, a conservative, nonpartisan group, is organizing the gathering. It is open to anyone who wants to work for the president’s re-election. The group staged a rally supporting the troops in Iraq in April 2003.

Alfy’s is at 2317 Broadway. Dessert will be provided, and those who attend can buy dinner.

2nd District candidates square off Wednesday

A forum featuring the three candidates for the 2nd Congressional District will be Wednesday.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and candidates will answer questions starting at 7 p.m.

U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Wash., Republican Suzanne Sinclair and Libertarian Bruce Guthrie are expected to attend the forum, which will be at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd. In Arlington.

The League of Women Voters of Snohomish County and the Snohomish County Council on Aging are sponsoring the forum.

Youths to speak out at summit Thursday

Teenagers and young adults will talk about the most important issues they face today and expect to face in the future at the fifth Voices of Youth summit Oct. 28.

Eighteen young people ages 11 to 20 will take part. Elected officials, community leaders and adults are invited to attend.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Snohomish County PUD building, 2320 California St. in Everett. It is sponsored by the Snohomish County Health and Safety Network.
