SEATTLE — A former Northwest U.S. Foodservice executive with a gambling habit will spend two-and-a-half years in prison for stealing almost a half million dollars from the company.
A federal judge on Friday also ordered Jason Green of Puyallup to pay the nearly $500,000 in restitution.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle says Green pleaded guilty to mail fraud. They say Green made up phony invoices for more than a year and changed computer codes to conceal the fraud.
Green’s accomplice in the scheme, Jimmie Dillingham, also pleaded guilty and will be sentenced later this year.
Prosecutors say both men gambled significant amounts of the stolen money in area casinos.
