EVERETT – A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information about a Sept. 15 pharmacy robbery where a man jumped a counter and demanded OxyContin.
The robbery occurred around 7:50 p.m. at the Walgreens in the 13100 block of the Bothell-Everett Highway, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Police believe the man jumped through the pick-up window and convinced the pharmacists that he had a gun, Goetz said.
The man demanded that a locked cabinet be opened and he took morphine, oxycodone and OxyContin before jumping back over the counter and running off.
The suspect is described as white, in his 20s and roughly 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
The reward money was donated by Purdue Pharma LLC, a drug company and sponsor of RxPatrol, a collaborative effort among drug companies, pharmacists and police to help stop pharmacy robberies. It’s being offered through Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.
“We appreciate the help that Crime Stoppers and RxPatrol are providing in hopes of solving the crime and catching the bad guy,” Goetz said.
People with information can call the Everett Police Department Tip Line at 425-257–8450 or anonymous tips can be called into Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
