EVERETT – Sounder commuter rail service will operate again today after four mudslides on the tracks between Seattle and Everett knocked out service on Friday.
The trains will operate on their regular schedule from the Everett and Edmonds stations in the morning and returning from Seattle in the afternoon, Sound Transit spokesman Lee Somerstein said.
Amtrak trains along the route were back in service Sunday and will run again today, an agent said.
The slides washed mud and trees across tracks that run along Puget Sound early Friday following heavy rains on Thursday. One of the largest slides occurred between Mukilteo and Edmonds.
