SPOKANE — Two police cars collided and two officers were slightly hurt when a man led them on a wild chase in cars and on foot.
Sgt. Dave Reagan tells the Spokesman-Review that the chase began early Saturday morning near Vista Road and Broadway Avenue over an alleged traffic violation.
He says a 25-year-old man hit speeds of 70 mph. During the pursuit two Spokane Valley officers crashed into each other at an intersection, leaving one of them with glass cuts.
Reagan says the suspect later crashed his car at Liberty Lake and fled on foot.
Another officer chased him down but hurt his knee in the process.
Reagan says suspect Jason Edward Cooper was jailed for vehicular assault, driving with a suspended license and other charges.
