EVERETT — If you are wondering why the Herald doesn’t show up in your mailbox today, there’s a good reason for that.
President Joe Biden ordered a national day of mourning Thursday to honor former President Jimmy Carter who died on Dec. 29.
The U.S. Postal Service will not deliver the mail Thursday, the day of Carter’s state funeral.
For Daily Herald subscribers, that means both Thursday’s and Friday’s newspaper should be delivered by mail on Friday.
For those not wanting to wait, subscribers can view the news at heraldnet.com or see our e-edition, a digital replica of our print newspaper, for free Thursday.
To view the e-edition, go to heraldnet.com, click on the menu button in the top left-hand corner and select e-editions from the drop-down menu.
Print subscribers receive digital access for no additional charge.
