The Summit at Snoqualmie has cut some of its operations after a power outage hit the ski resort.

The initial power outage was announced Sunday afternoon, closing all lifts and night operations. For Monday skiing, the resort’s website said they have “less than a partial supply of energy.”

According to the Puget Sound Energy, the outage has impacted 1,230 customers in the Snoqualmie Pass area. The outage was caused by trees and vegetation.

Those planning to ski on Martin Luther King Jr. Day should be aware that the outage is still impacting skiing.

Five lifts are running: Central Express, Holiday, Triple60 or Gallery, and Silver Fir, but the rest have been closed.

Armstrong Express ski lift is open only to summit passholders, and will be operating on a delay, the ski resort’s website said.

Summit West lessons have been canceled.

The resort is refunding customers for unused lift tickets, rentals and classes.

“Due to our limited operations, any lift tickets not used today will be automatically turned into rainchecks and can be used another date this season,” the ski resort’s statement said.
