American principles: Give youths vision through example

Our young people need a vision of America that they can be proud of; a vision that inspires, connects, challenges, and guides. I would like to propose these four commitments for “The New American”:

• Diversity is our hallmark.

• Equality is our foundation.

• Participation is our responsibility.

• Democracy is our way.

Will you join me in embracing these principles, sharing them with our youths, and living them by example in your daily life? Only then can America achieve the greatness that will give hope and purpose to the next generation.
