Bargreens should use their windfall to spruce up coffee shop

The Bargreens family that owns Bargreens Coffee Co. got paid $590,000 in a settlement with the Port of Everett because the family did not like the color of the cranes at the Everett Port, as it was recently reported (“Everett coffee heirs get $590K over crane color, ending saga,” The Herald, Dec. 6).

At a time when the covid-19 pandemic is leading to lost jobs and hardships to so many people, it is disappointing that Everett Port agreed to settle for so much money. All that money could have been used to hire a number of people in the area to make improvements to the port. Now, the Bargreens family needs to see how they can improve the view in Everett. Possibly, the Bargreens family could use all that money to paint their own Bargreens Coffee building. Has anyone complained about the Bargreens Coffee building looking ugly and how the building could use some major detailing? The brick work needs to be cleaned and the building needs painting and even a little remodeling could be done. The Bargreens Coffee Shop on Rucker Street looks far more ugly than then Green Cranes at the Everett Port.

Have you had Bargreens coffee? It is outdated on their roasting methods. I am also sorry that Bargreens has got coffee roasting so wrong. Possibly, they could use some of their extra cash to hire some experts on coffee equipment and roasting techniques to make an edible cup of Joe.
