Care for a Cheeto? Instead of approving rules to license growers, processors and retailers for legal marijuana today as originally planned, the state Liquor Control Board is expected to announce it will need two more months to complete its work.
“Dude,” said a spokesman for the agency overseeing the drafting of the rules. “You know, time just sort of got away from us. And we got tickets for ‘Laser Floyd’ at the Laser Dome at the last minute, and we couldn’t miss that.”

Sisters are doing it for themselves: Following the success of “The View,” the talk show that features a panel of women, other cable channels are copying the formula, specifically “Exhale,” featuring five African-American women on the Aspire channel.
Already, “Exhale” has prompted other talk shows, including “Inhale,” a panel of pot enthusiasts sitting around a hookah and giggling.

With the Evergreen State Fair opening next week, the health district is assuring fair-goers that food vendors at the fair meet the same food-safety standards expected of restaurants. So go ahead and enjoy that massive turkey leg, a Walla Walla onion burger, a heap of garlic fries, an elephant ear or a Purple Cow.
However, the health district can’t protect you from this food-airborne illness: eating all of that, then going on the Tilt-A-Whirl.
