In the wake of the recent primaries in Everett, where my bid for city council fell short, it is important to evaluate the candidates who emerged successful: Scott Bader and Demi Chatters. It is with a spirit of unity and shared vision that I express my endorsement for Scott Bader as the candidate best poised to steer Everett toward a promising and progressive future.
Scott Bader’s dedication to the cause of public safety resonates deeply with the concerns of our city. He echoes the worries of many by acknowledging the path Seattle has taken, and he pledges to prioritize public safety as a cornerstone of his approach to city governance.
Having served on the Everett City Council from 2012 to 2021, Bader’s tenure speaks volumes of his leadership capabilities. His roles as council president, chair of the Puget Sound Regional Council growth management policy board, and chair of the administration committee of the Snohomish County Health District underscore his ability to collaborate and find balanced solutions. His experience has laid the groundwork for prudent decision-making that upholds Everett’s services and infrastructure.
As the City Council election in November approaches, the choice before us is pivotal. Scott Bader’s demonstrated leadership, experience, and strategic approach align with the aspirations of Everett’s residents. I wholeheartedly endorse Scott Bader and urge you to join me in electing a leader whose unwavering dedication will shape Everett’s future into a more prosperous and secure one.
