I am wondering why the handicapped parking laws are not enforced. Handicapped signs clearly state there is a substantial fine for parking in a spot clearly marked as “Handicapped only.” I can’t tell you the number of times I needed to park in one of these designated spots, only to find some selfish person without the blue placard or license plate required by law, has taken the space.
Why is this state law not enforced? I challenge any law enforcement agency, city, county, tribal or sate, to publish the number of tickets they have issued for parking violations in handicapped marked spots. Why do we have laws that have no consequences when violated? When laws are not enforced, laws become a joke.
