Mukilteo City Council: Emery’s long service matters to city

Mukilteo city council member Richard Emery has served several terms on the council.

His council experience is without equal on the November ballot.

Some examples of his service to community include: council president in 2020; Parks and Arts Commission liaison; Planning Commission liaison; Alliance for Housing Affordability; Paine Field Airport Commission liaison; Water Resource Inventory Area and salmon recovery.

He studies issues well and comes prepared to discuss all sides of an issue before he makes a decision. I have not always agreed with his decisions but am convinced that he puts Mukilteo’s best interests first. He works well with other council members and with city staff. He has proven time and again that he can find common ground with others. This makes policy discussions easier for all.

I ask that you review all of the candidates and their histories of service to the community. How long have they lived in the city? How well do they know Mukilteo?

After you do so, please consider a vote for Richard Emery, Mukilteo Council Position 4.
