In March of last year President Biden said that sending offensive military equipment to Ukraine would help start World War III with Russia. So, he didn’t send the tanks and planes they wanted. Recently he announced that he was sending 31 Abram tanks to them. They already have about 1,000 tanks and a piddly 31 more would not help that much. Abram tanks are high-tech and take many weeks of training to operate. Who will supply the training? Us of course, and that puts U.S. boots on the ground. Germany has sent tanks as well. They still want fighter jets also. There is zero chance that Russia could win a conventional war against NATO. So, the only way to defend against them is through the use of nuclear weapons. They have the largest nuclear stockpile in the world and Putin has threatened to use them if NATO countries continue to send offensive weapons to Ukraine. We are backing him into a corner which will almost certainly cause him to want to go to war with NATO.
If Russia had threatened to send weapons of war to the Taliban while we were fighting them in Afghanistan, we would have said it was wrong and would have gone crazy if they did send them. I see no difference here. Biden and the Pentagon do not have a plan going forward. It is clear to me that Biden wants to start a war to distract from his many shortcomings and scandals. He is playing a very dangerous game and risking many lives. He should be trying to hold peace talks instead of starting a war.
