It shouldn’t surprise me, history repeats itself. But here we are in 2025.
In 1946 Martin Niemoller wrote “First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionist, and I did not speak out, because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me; and there was no one left to speak for me.”
Now we have masked, unidentified people in unmarked vans, kidnapping people off the streets and transporting them to other county’s prisons, using taxpayer dollars to pay for their incarceration. No charges, no due process; just the whim of a deranged leader and his cronies.
If you have a tattoo they don’t like, if you are against the genocide and starvation of Palestinians, you could be gone. Is this the America our forefathers defied a king to establish? What our veterans fought and died to defend? I don’t think so! It’s time to stand up and speak out before it’s you!
