Sympathy and prayers for our fallen brothers

The entire Everett Fire Department is deeply saddened by Sept. 11’s tragic and shocking events. As members of the nation’s fire service, our fire department stands ready to offer our full support to the fire departments of New York, Washington, D.C., Virginia and Pennsylvania in response to the tragic and shocking events. It has been extremely heart-warming and gratifying to accept the support and condolences of the public as we continue with our duties.

The loss of our fraternal brothers and sisters in the New York Fire Department has added a personal element to this national tragedy. We sincerely appreciate your thoughts and wishes to the families of our fallen brothers and sisters. Our sympathy and prayers are with the victims and their families; we share their grief with the entire nation. We remain committed to working with all appropriate agencies, national and international, to assure the safety and security of the citizens of Everett and all Americans.
