Time to move on and put personal over political

Since getting older I have grown tired of political opinions. The idea of left or right, even winning or losing means nothing to me. Living in a rough world we all need to take care of ourselves. Simple local solutions to problems work best. Political arguments only stir people up and it gets them nowhere. Will power is all it takes to solve social problems.

I believe in a simple down-to-earth humanity whose only goal is to find a sense of wholeness in their lives. A wholeness that rises above worldly divisions. Our health and well-being demands this because divisiveness is a form of sickness.

A good life is a simple one. Closeness to nature brings forth a deeper and clearer understanding of reality. Without a proper vision people become lost.

Nature tends to wind its own way through history and time is a river that runs through it. We have the freedom to heal from within but also the worldly powers to self-destruct. Humanity needs to rise above petty politics and understand that we are all adrift in the same leaky lifeboat. First must come peace and then we will find the blessings of prosperity.

FILE — Supporters of President Donald Trump storm the U.S. Capitol in Washington, Jan. 6, 2021. The Supreme Court’s ruling that Trump enjoyed broad immunity from prosecution over official acts has opened the possibility that more evidence in his attempt to subvert the 2020 election could be revealed in public court filings — maybe even before the upcoming presidential election.
