Nothing Trump does will make his base decide that they suddenly like immigrants or approve of a women’s right to abortion, for example, and begs the question, do they even care about honesty, integrity and fitness for office?
The Senate probably won’t remove Trump from office so he’ll have to be defeated in 2020 and Democrats are going to need every vote they can get. Free stuff sounds good but ain’t gonna happen folks. Every American deserves affordable health care like other modern nations have. We need a sensible immigration policy that recognizes that we need immigrants but we obviously can’t have open borders. And that’s just a start.
The Democratic field of candidates looks weak. Many minority voters don’t like Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Moderates are afraid of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Joe Biden’s testiness with questions about his son Hunter and his “job” with a Ukrainian energy company is a case of “if you can’t stand the heat Joe, get outta the kitchen.”
Four more years of Trump would endanger not only this nation but our very existence on this earth with Trump’s ignorant and misguided policies. What will he concede in trade negotiations with China or disarmament talks with North Korea to say he’s accomplished something? Why does he continually kiss up to Russia?
November 2020 becomes the most important election of our time and we don’t need another extreme right Republican or an extreme left Democrat.
