EUGENE — Sean Roby hit a walk-off home run, his second homer of the game, as the Eugene Emerald earned a 4-3 come-from-behind win over the Everett AquaSox on Thursday night.
The AquaSox pulled out to a 3-0 lead through the top of the sixth inning on a two-run home run from Walking Cabrera and a solo homer by Ben Ramirez.
Roby’s three-run blast in the bottom of the sixth pulled the Emeralds even at 3-3 before he ended the game in the ninth.
Reid VanScoter was terrific on the mound for Everett (56-49, 22-17 second half), allowing three runs on six hits while striking out nine over eight innings. VanScoter threw just 87 pitches.
Nick Sinacola, Tanner Keist and Hunter Dula combined to allow just three hits and struck out 13 batters for Eugene (53-52, 19-20).
