Arlington powers past Lakewood

LAKEWOOD – Arlington’s Krista Hansen powered the Arlington fastpitch softball team past Lakewood 8-2 Wednesday at Lakewood High School.

Hansen, a junior shortstop for the Eagles, hit two home runs, going 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBI as part of an Arlington offensive explosion in the non-conference victory. Arlington also got a homer from sophomore catcher Sheena Twitchell.

“Our bats finally came alive today,” Arlington coach Cherlyn Schander said. “It’s nice to see them hitting, actually.”

Arlington remains undefeated at 2-0, with a pair of non-conference wins, while Lakewood drops to 1-1.
