Cascade baseball team gets double-happy in win over Terrace

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE – The Cascade baseball team used a pile of doubles to beat Mountlake Terrace 7-3 in a Class 4A Northwest District playoff game on Wednesday.

Cascade will play Shorewood at 7 p.m. today at Everett Memorial Stadium in the second round.

Cascade hit four doubles in the first two innings to take a 6-0 lead. Chad Schroeder led the Bruin offense. Schodera was 3-for-4 with a double, solo home run, and two RBI.

Cascade’s defense was strong behind pitcher Brian Pugmire to preserve the victory.

“We came out and swung the bat early and played great defense,” Cascade coach Jim Willie said.
