Emeralds sweep AquaSox in doubleheader at Funko Field

Eugene wins the pair of seven-inning games by scores of 2-0 and 5-4.

EVERETT — The Eugene Emeralds swept the Everett AquaSox in a doubleheader on Saturday night at Funko Field. Both games were seven innings in length.

In the nightcap, Everett rallied with three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn’t complete the comeback in a 5-4 loss.

Noelvi Marte hit a two-run double and Spencer Packard had two hits in the game for the AquaSox.

In the opener, Eugene (26-19) pitchers struck out 10 and held Everett (20-29) batters to just three base hits in a 2-0 win.

Spencer Packard went 2-for-3 and Isaiah Campbell struck out two in an inning of work in his first action for the AquaSox since being placed on the injured list on April 27.
