LAKE STEVENS — The Lake Stevens football team celebrated its first-ever state title with a championship parade Saturday morning.

The parade, organized by the city of Lake Stevens, began at Lundeen Park and concluded at the high school stadium with speeches and performances by the band and cheer squad.

The Vikings captured the Class 4A state title with a 24-22 win over Kennedy Catholic last Saturday night at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma.

They are the first Snohomish County prep football team to win the 4A or 3A state championship since Cascade claimed the 4A state crown in 1991.

See below for a photo gallery from the parade and championship celebration.
