STANWOOD — Coming off two straight losses in a season short on time, the Stanwood volleyball team got back on the right track with a 3-1 victory over Monroe on Wednesday evening in Stanwood.
Junior middle blocker Lili Jones had three aces, eight kills, three blocks and four digs as the Spartans (3-3) won by scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-9.
Junior setter Grace Henken contributed four aces, 28 assists and 11 digs, and sophomore outside hitter Barrett Anderson had four aces, nine kills and seven digs for Stanwood.
Monroe fell to 1-5 on the season with its next contest set for Tuesday against unbeaten Lake Stevens.
