Mariner remains unbeaten

EVERETT – The Mariner Maruaders stayed undefeated with a convincing 67-3 Western Conference South Division wrestling victory over Jackson at Mariner High School Thursday night.

“We had a good night, we moved real well tonight and were on our toes,” said Mariner assistant coach Michael Braaten.

After Jackson (1-2 league, 1-3 overall) won at 119 pounds to trim Mariner’s lead to 11-3, the Marauders (3-0, 4-0) dominated the next 11 bouts, outscoring the Timberwolves 56-0 the rest of the meet.

Mariner’s Trenton Tuiasosopo (215 pounds), in his first bout of the season, won by pin in the first round at one minute, four seconds.
