TACOMA — Mount Si capitalized on three Shorewood errors with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring three runs en route to a 5-4 victory over the Thunderbirds in the Class 3A baseball championship game on Saturday.
Mount Si also got three singles in the inning and had one player reach base on a fielder’s choice. The game-winning run scored when Max Brown hit a sharp grounder that Shorewood’s third baseman mishandled, allowing Tim Proudfoot to come score.
