Murphy wins battle for league lead

SHORELINE – In a battle for the top spot in the Cascade Conference, Archbishop Murphy defeated King’s 28-0 Friday night at Woolsey Stadium.

Archbishop Murphy’s defense dominated, holding King’s to 91 total yards.

Quarterback Kyle Wilkins ran for 72 yards on five carries, scoring on a 44-yard touchdown run.

Wilkins also passed once. The result: a 41-yard touchdown to Alex Ungs.

King’s was led by Spencer Clark’s seven carries for 39 yards.

Both the Wildcats and Knights entered the game 2-0 in league play.
