Boys tennis

Andrew Counter/Steven Lin, Shorewood

Counter and Lin won the 3A District 1 tournament doubles title Friday, beating Djelli Berisha and Ryan Johnson of Meadowdale 6-4, 6-2 in the championship match.

Cross country

Riley McDowell, Glacier Peak

McDowell, a junior, won the 4A boys race Saturday at the District 1 championships in Langley. He finished in a time of 16 minutes, 6.16 seconds.

Football

Jorge Urrutia, Mariner

Urrutia, a sophomore, kicked a go-ahead 36-yard field goal in the fourth quarter Friday to help the Marauders to a 16-14 Wesco 4A win over Jackson.

Girls soccer

Haley Grambo, Glacier Peak

Grambo scored three goals in the Grizzlies’ 8-0 win over Cascade on Oct. 24, then scored one goal Thursday to help Glacier Peak to a 2-0 victory over Kamiak.

Volleyball

Kelsey Cummins, Meadowdale

Cummins, a junior, registered 18 kills and 26 digs in the Mavericks’ 3-2 win over Snohomish on Oct. 23.
