Wesco 4A

Kamiak 18, Cascade 0 (5)

MUKILTEO — Malachi Noet homered in all three of his plate appearances to drive in six total runs in a dominant win for Kamiak (4-0, 1-0). Andrew Fetty (1-for-3, four RBI) went deep once as well, sending a well-hit ball to centerfield right before Noet’s first home run in the opening frame. The Grizzlies defense faced just 24 hitters in five innings as pitchers Andrew Hernandez (2 IP, four Ks, W) and Blake Fischer (3 IP, three Ks) led the shutout. Steven Wilson (1-for-2) stole a base for the Bruins (2-3, 0-1).

Wesco North 3A/2A

Stanwood 5, Marysville Pilchuck 0

STANWOOD — Stanwood pitcher TJ McQuery allowed just one hit to 12 Ks in a complete game on the mound. Tanner Requa batted in two runs on a 2-for-3 day while Corban Forslund (1-for-2) scored two runs himself for the Spartans (5-0, 2-0). Ryker Stewart (1-for-3) had the lone hit for the Tomahawks (0-5, 0-2).

Snohomish 7, Monroe 1

SNOHOMISH — The Panthers (4-1, 2-0) emphatically completed their sweep of the Bearcats (1-4, 0-2) with a dominant defensive performance. Snohomish pitcher Trevor Vorderbruggen got the win with two hits allowed to nine Ks in six innings while the Panthers’ bats had one of their best days of the young season. Snohomish went 11-for-26 from the plate as Landon Klein (3-for-4) and Reve LeRoux (2-for-3) each scored twice on a six-error day for Monroe. Gavin Prescott (0-for-2) scored the lone run for the Bearcats, who went 3-for-21 overall.

Emerald Sound

South Whidbey 3, King’s 2

SHORELINE — The Knights (4-2, 2-1) couldn’t bring the tying run home from third as they would fall to the Falcons in a close contest. Both squads scored two runs in the first inning, but a fourth-inning South Whidbey run would prove to be the difference. Despite the low score, King’s had a solid 7-for-28 day at the plate. John Bjella (2-for-4) and Luke Echelbarger (1-for-4) each scored a run for the Knights.
