Jackson 8, Newport 7 (8 innings)

KENMORE — Carson Burns pushed across the winning run with sac fly in the eighth inning and second-seeded Jackson kept its season alive by beating sixth-seeded Newport in a loser-out 4A Wes-King Bi-District Tournament consolation bracket game at Inglemoor High School.

Burns also drove in two runs with a single in the fourth for the Timberwolves (17-6).

Jackson advances to face either fourth-seeded Eastlake or ninth-seeded Bothell in a winner-to-state game 4 p.m. Thursday at Funko Field.

Mount Si 9, Glacier Peak 2

KENMORE — Fifth-seeded Glacier Peak pounded out 10 hits but also left 10 runners on base as its season came to an end with a loss to top-seeded Mount Si in a loser-out 4A Wes-King Bi-District Tournament consolation bracket game at Inglemoor High School.

Colby Holmdahl and Caleb Johnson each went 2-for-3, Jadon Claps doubled and had an RBI and Matthew Lilich drove in a run for the Grizzlies, who finish the season 12-10.

Mount Si advances to face 10th-seeded Skyline in a winner-to-state game 7 p.m. Thursday at Funko Field.

3A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

Edmonds-Woodway 11, Mountlake Terrace 1 (5 innings)

EVERETT — Sixth-seeded Edmonds-Woodway routed 10th-seeded Mountlake Terrace in a winner-to-state 3A District 1 Tournament semifinal game at Funko Field.

The Warriors (14-9) advance to face either top-seeded Lynnwood in the district title game 7 p.m. Saturday at Funko Field.

The Hawks (11-11) fall to the consolation bracket and face fifth-seeded Mount Vernon in a winner-to-state game 4 p.m. Saturday at Funko Field.

EVERETT — Top-seeded Lynnwood topped fourth-seeded Meadowdale in a winner-to-state 3A District 1 Tournament semifinal game at Funko Field.

The Royals (14-7) advance to face sixth-seeded Edmonds-Woodway in the district title game 7 p.m. Saturday at Funko Field.

The Mavericks (13-8) fall to the consolation bracket and face third-seeded Stanwood in a winner-to-state game 1 p.m. Saturday at Funko Field.

OAK HARBOR — Mason Goodson pitched a no-hitter and second-seeded Stanwood extended its season with a victory over third-seeded Oak Harbor in a loser-out 3A District 1 Tournament consolation bracket game.

The Spartans (14-8) advance to face either fourth-seeded Meadowdale or top-seeded Lynnwood in a winner-to-state game 1 p.m. Saturday at Funko Field.

Mount Vernon 3, Monroe 2

MOUNT VERNON — Eighth-seeded Monroe’s season came to an end in a loss to fifth-seeded Mount Vernon in a loser-out 3A District 1 Tournament consolation bracket game.

The Bearcats finish the season 12-11.

Mount Vernon advances to face 10th-seeded Mountlake Terrace in a winner-to-state game 4 p.m. Saturday at Funko Field.

Archbishop Murphy 2, Anacortes 1

ANACORTES — Third-seeded Archbishop Murphy scored two runs in the first inning and held on to beat second-seeded Anacortes in a winner-to-state 2A District 1 Tournament semifinal game at Daniels Field.

The Wildcats (12-10) advance to face either fourth-seeded Burlington-Edison or top-seeded Lynden in the district title game 3 p.m. Saturday at Daniels Field.

ANACORTES — Tenth-seeded Lakewood’s season came to an end with a loss to sixth-seeded Sedro-Wooley in a loser-out 2A District 1 consolation bracket game.

ANACORTES — Ninth-seeded Cedarcrest blanked fifth-seeded Squalicum in a a loser-out 2A District 1 consolation bracket game.

The Red Wolves (10-12) advance to face second-seeded Anacortes in a loser-out game 10 a.m. Saturday at Volunteer Park in Anacortes.
