While the date and opponent are still to be determined, the Seattle Seahawks have announced that single-game playoff tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster (206-628-0888) or online (www.seahawks.com) by credit card only.
The Seahawks will host a playoff game during wild-card weekend, either Jan. 5 or 6 at Qwest Field. As the No. 3 seed in the NFC, Seattle would host the No. 6 seed in the first round. If the Seahawks win that game, they would travel to Green Bay for the divisional round.
Washington (8-7), Minnesota (8-7) and New Orleans (7-8) are the three teams left battling for the NFC’s No. 6 seed. If the Redskins win on Sunday, they would travel to Seattle. The Vikings would play the Seahawks with a Sunday win over Denver and a Washington loss. New Orleans would come to Seattle if the Saints win and both the Redskins and Vikings lose.
Playoff tickets are expected to sell out in less than a half hour. Fans are limited to four tickets per purchase.
