Like referees and offensive linemen, long snappers are perhaps best judged by how little you notice them during the course of a game, and during his five seasons with the Seahawks, Clint Gresham has rarely stood out. And now Gresham’s steady play will be around in Seattle for another three seasons, because the free agent signed a three-year deal worth just over $2.7 million, including a $300,000 signing bonus. While Gresham wasn’t the highest profile of Seattle’s free agents, keeping him around is an important move for Seattle’s kicking game and punter/holder Jon Ryan, who benefits most from Gresham’s accurate snaps.
Gresham, who signed with Seattle in 2010, announced the signing himself with a picture on his Instagram page.
