KENT — Jeremy Hanzel scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the third period, as the Seattle Thunderbirds scored cour times in the third and beat the Everett Silvertips, 5-1, on Saturday at ShoWare Center.
Everett’s Jackson Berezowski tied the game at 1 with a short-handed goal at the 17:55 mark of the second, his 43rd of the season.
Hanzel put Seattle (50-9-1-2) ahead on the power play 6:12 in to the third.
Dylan Guenther, Nico Myatovic and Brad Lamber each scored goals for the Thunderbirds, who outshot the Silvertips 47-15.
Everett goaltender Tim Metzger made 42 saves in 47 chances.
Seattle netminder Thomas Milic stopped 14 of 15 shots.
The Silvertips fell to 30-29-2-1.
