Rubi Lopez | Stanwood softball
In two Saturday games, Lopez proved to be a menace on the bases, stealing seven times, including five against Burlington-Edison. Lopez went 5-for-8 with a triple and three RBI on the day.
Morgan Udy | Glacier Peak softball
The junior helped the Grizzles go 5-0 last week by hitting .632 (12-for-19) with nine RBI, three doubles and a home run.
Lopez and Udy shared The Herald’s Athlete of the Week for March 23-29 as each claimed 383 (46.88%) of the 817 votes.

Henry Gabalis | Archbishop Murphy baseball
On April 16, the junior outfielder went 3-for-4 with a triple. Two days later, against Everett, Gabalis went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
Abdala Hassani | Marysville Getchell boys soccer
The senior midfielder recorded a hat trick in a victory over Stanwood on April 15, and scored a goal to preserve a draw against Everett on April 19.
Katie Krueger | Lakewood softball
On Saturday, the senior pitcher set the Lakewood career mark for runs scored, crossing home plate four times to push her total to 129. Krueger went 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and a walk and also drove in three runs and swiped two bases. She starred in the circle as well, striking out eight Sehome batters while allowing one unearned run.
Trevor Vorderbruggen | Snohomish baseball
The sophomore pitcher’s three-hit, 13-K shutout in a 2-0 victory over Marysville Getchell on April 15 powered the Panthers to an important win to stay firmly in the league title race.
