Looking for a getaway vacation not too far from home? The Little Creek Casino Resort might be just what youre after.
Situated in Mason County at the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula, Little Creek is set up to meet all vacation needs, from active outdoor fun to great indoor entertainment.
The five diamond Little Creek Casino Resort is just north of Olympia up Highway 101. The hotel has 92 oversized rooms. There are six spa suites that can be reserved, or guests can enjoy the general pool and spa facilities. The hotel is set up with a state-of-the-art business center and five professional conference and banquet rooms. These can be reserved for both corporate and private events.
Outside the resort are many nearby recreational opportunities. Hikers and bikers can enjoy the trails of the Olympic National Forest or kayak along the miles of scenic waterways. Bird lovers will enjoy the Theler Wetlands Nature Preserve. Learn about local tribal lore at the Squaxin Island Museum, Library and Research Center.
The resort is also close to the home of the Mason County OysterFest and the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championship. The award winning Hoodsport Winery is also a local favorite.
Inside the Little Creek Casino Resort itself is a recently expanded gaming facility featuring both table games and slots. Currently on offer to players are more than 500 machines with Monopoly, Yahtzee, Hollywood Squares, Lobstermania, Fortune Fever, Catch a Wave and more. The casino also has Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Spanish 21, Royal Match, Lucky Ladies, Fortune Pai Gow, Crazy for Poker and Three Card Poker. There are Blackjack Tournaments at 7 p.m. every Wednesday.
Beginning players are always welcome at Little Creek Casino. The resorts Web site offers instructions for various games, and special low-stake tables are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These include $1 Craps and $2 Blackjack. Experienced players can enjoy No Limit Hold Em, and there are special high hand of the hour poker room giveaways on Wednesdays. The casino also offers Keno and Bingo.
There are two places to dine at Little Creek Casino Resort. Fine dining is available at the Island Grille. Executive chef Troy McCulloch offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nightly dinner specials may feature McCullochs signature dishes as well as seasonal Northwest seafood or other favorites. Standard menu items include USDA choice steaks, wild salmon and entre salads. Dont miss the opulent dessert menu. The Island Grille opens at 6:30 a.m. and closes at midnight. Guests also have the option of stopping by the Creekside Buffet for a more casual meal.
There are two lounges at the facility: the Skookum Spirit Lounge and the Starlight Lounge. Live entertainment, ranging from comedy to music, is available in the Starlight Lounge.
Theres something for everyone when the resorts 2005 Concerts at the Creek series begins on June 18. The first appearance is by country music star Joe Diffie. The CMA award winning artist performs songs from his recent Tougher Than Nails album.
July 10 is a blockbuster evening featuring Blue Oyster Cult and Foghat. For more than 30 years, these two bands have remained rock legends with a loyal following. Get your tickets early.
Its back to country music again on July 31 when the band Lonestar appears at Little Creek. For yet another change of genre, Jonnie Lang sings the blues on Aug. 13. The concert series wraps up Sept. 4 with an appearance by Secret Agent Man Johnny Rivers. Tickets are available through the resorts box office.
