E-W HOOPS CAMP: The Edmonds-Woodway boys basketball program hosts its annual youth basketball camp for boys and girls June 28-July 1. Boys head coach Rob McMains will lead the camp and will be assisted by Warrior staff coaches, varsity players and guests. The fee for the camp is $70 if paid on or before June 18 and $80 after. All campers receive a t-shirt and basketball. Grades 3-5 meet from 8 a.m. to noon and grades 6-9 meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Information: Rob McMains, 425-670-7311, ext. 1320.

SOFTBALL CAMP: Pacific Northwest Softball School hosts a fastpitch softball camp for all ages July 5-9 at Lynnwood High School. Information: Lonnie Hicks, 360-659-9292.

BASEBALL CLASSES: University of Washington baseball player and Lynnwood graduate Joel Villalobos will be conducting small group sessions of either pitching or hitting classes at the Brooklyn Baseball Club. Four one hour sessions will start on May 25. Three or Four players can sign up for each group. Information: 425-744-0109

AMATEUR GOLF TOURNEY: Registrations are now being accepted for the 74th annual Snohomish County Amateur golf tournament, scheduled for May 30-31 and June 6 at three county sites.

This year’s rotation of courses includes Marysville’s Cedarcrest Golf Course, Mill Creek Country Club and Everett Golf and Country Club.

The event, sponsored by Dwayne Lane’s car dealerships, is open to men’s club members at all Snohomish County courses with a maximum handicap of 20.8. The fee for the tournament is $165 or $110 for high school players, and entry forms are available in the pro shops at most courses in the county.

The entry deadline is May 21, though late sign-ups may be accepted if the field is not filled to a maximum of 208.

RACE FOR LIFE: Snohomish County Parks &Recreation presents a Race for Life BMX event June 12 at McCollum Park (600 128th St SE., Everett).

The race benefits the Leukemia Society of America. ABA membership not required; long pants, long-sleeved shirt and a helmet are required. Entry fees are $5, plus $5 minimum donation for the Leukemia Society. Practice and registration runs from 9-11 a.m. to be immediately followed by the race.

SPRING TOURNEY: AAU Washington Girls Basketball hosts a spring invitational tournament for girls teams in grades 4 through varsity May 29-30 at Jackson High School. Information: 425-670-8877 or www.washingtongirlsbasketball.com.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE HOOPS CAMP: The city of Mountlake Terrace and Mountlake Terrace High School host a basketball camp for players ages 7-15 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 23-25 in the Mountlake Terrace High School gym. Fees are: $45 for residents, $55 for non-residents (includes T-shirt). Boys coach Nalin Sood is among the instructors. Guest speaks will talk about conditioning and nutrition. YOST POOL: Yost Park Pool opens for its 32nd season on May 29. Discount swim seasonable passes are available May 3-June 4 at the Frances Anderson Center. Information: 425-771-0230.
